VICTORY! Madison Property Management tried to hit one building with a 14-30% rent increase citing “market forces.” A 30% rent increase is as good as an eviction!
Half of the tenants in the 40-unit building signed a letter demanding their property manager negotiate a lower increase and fix persistent building-wide issues.
After refusing to negotiate, management caved and negotiated the increase down by a third for all studio units in the building! When we fight, we win! Collective action gets the goods!
