Community Agreements

Community Agreements

1. Madison Tenant Power spaces are open to all tenants (including nonmembers). No landlords, property managers, or real estate developers are allowed.

2. No matter how long you have been here, build collaboratively and share if you have something ! We need your voice.

3. Be considerate. Interpersonal communication skills are important. Conflict can be okay. We can practice naming impact and repairing harm.

4. We are in crisis because housing is in crisis, but we still need patience with each other. Please offer and receive grace.

5. Be direct; say what you mean. Try not to talk over others, try not to monopolize speaking time. If you are usually loud, step back; if you are usually quiet, step up

6. We strive to be an inclusive space. No discriminatory or exclusionary behavior based on sex, gender identity/expression, race, ethnicity, nationality, citizenship status, disability status, religious beliefs, body size, appearance, veteran status, or socioeconomic status will be tolerated.

7. Please do not talk about doing anything illegal online. Remember we cannot guarantee that the internet is a protected or confidential space.
